I've been fishing for years since I was a kid and I used cheap rod holders from other companies that never worked in hard packed ground. Takedown Rod Holders was what I was looking for. Hammer them into rocky hard pack ground or logs and Fish On. There's many different ways you can place these holders. They are definitely Tough and give me confidence that a big catfish won't take my expensive Catfish Rod into the lake. I have used them for a few years now and they take a beating and yet to break a weld. Best Rod Holders in my opinion.
